What's In My Purse & Beauty Haul!

Of course, I went shopping today! But it's also Fashion Tuesday! So I wanted to do a What's In My Purse video! I love my Kate Spade Cedar Street Harmony purse! I got it for Christmas and it's perfect for all seasons! I hope you enjoy everything in my purse because it's very random! I also went to Sephora and Target to get some makeup! I got a foundation brush from Target, as well as Cover Girl Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 foundation (so far so good!), and Rimmel London Stay Matte powder foundation which is the wrong shade...From Sephora I got the Brow Pomade by Anastasia (here) and love it! I also got a sample from the Beauty Insider points that was a Makeup Forever lip gloss.

Couture : The Process

I love draping! Pattern making isn't my favorite thing to do...but draping I love! This is one, about 5 yards, piece of fabric (other then the shoulder pieces which are two pieces of fabric). I love creating nothing into something! For school we have to make a 1920's couture dress and this is something like I sketched that I wanted to do. It flows more on the bottom but because I didn't have enough fabric and it's the wrong length of fabric I had to work with what I had. The dress is probably going to be white with white lace covering it. I'm going to add beads and rhinestones to it as well to add some sparkle, of course! I can't wait to make it and see how it looks in the end! It's going to take a while to do but it will be work it in the end. I will keep you in touch with my couture adventures and more! But first here are the draping pictures and my illustrations at the end of this post.

Menswear Project

Well it's finally done! My menswear jacket is complete and I couldn't be happier. For this project we had to make an outfit for well...for men. It could be inspired by anything, finally no requirements! What a process! I have never made anything for men before but I always thought I would want to expand my market to menswear and womenswear. I really wanted to make this jacket perfect too because my previous things were just okay. Nothing special but nothing amazing. I looked at menswear clothing in stores to see how they put everything together, went and bought a pair of pants only to deconstruct them and take them apart, and piece by piece everything started to fall into place. I really love how it came out and I've been getting nothing but great feedback from everyone which makes me happy to actually believe in myself for once.

         

  The jacket is a modern take on a trench coat. The hood is attachable so if you want to you could take it off and just have a high collar or keep it on. I lined it with camo lining and added a belt to it. I also made jeans to go with them but not classic jeans. More of a chino jean. Chino style but in denim fabric.

Lady and the Tramp.

Lady and the Tramp has to be one of my favorite animal movies ever! That and Aristocats(and I'm not a cat person at all! But I love those little kittens!) I got this sweater a while back ago from H&M. Once I saw it I knew there was no questioning it I had to get it! Also say hello to Miss Lilly! Doesn't she look just like Lady! She is a little Lady! <3

My Spring/Summer Fashion!

Hello Everyone! Well, April is here! and it couldn't have come faster. I feel like it was just yesterday that I came back from winter break and spring break! So crazy how fast time can go by. Makes you think twice about not saying hello to someone or really going for something you want to do. Never take life for granted!

And now for todays topic! Spring/Summer Fashion! In this case my spring/summer fashion because even though I love trends I don't always follow them. I like to skip to my own beat sometimes. During spring I love to wear maxi dresses and very flowy clothes. As you will see here in this post! I found all these pictures on tumblr or pinterest because I'm obsessed with both websites! Basically this is what I would wear if I could take things off the internet and put them into my closet!  

1. High waisted shorts are trending right now I do have to say! My friend and floormate/next door neighbor Gabby wears them all the time! She defiantly inspired me to get them! I do have a pair from Urban Outfitters and a pair from the Kendall and Kylie line from Pac Sun that I got the other week. Now I just need to find shorts! I saw this shirt and love when how it has cutouts! Style this outfit with round sunglasses and converse, your all set for spring into summer!!!

2. Here we go again with the high-waisted shorts! But this time it's styled very simply. Nothing better then a plain white shirt and a shoulder bag. The scarf was also a very nice touch to the look to bring in a print so the look isn't so plain. 

3. I can't tell you how much I love the styling of this look! The belt around the cape into the actual belt loops is maj! Mix the look with another flowy top and denim shorts and your set!

4. These two girls remind me of Kendall and Kylie Jenner! Who I have to say have amazing style! Very skater urban chic! I recently bought a hat from Rich Soil which is Lamar Odom's t-shirt company and Kylie Jenner and her friends just happen to wear them all the time! I had to do it...shopaholic problems and now I have $2.50 to my name on my debit card! A sad moment... 

5 and 6! Maxi dresses for dayz! I'm obsessed. Especially with the one on the left! Super cute! I'm defiantly going to try to make it over summer! The green maxi shirt is so spring! Tying the tank top for an extra added touch to the look is a nice way to change the look over the day!  

7. This look looks like something a modern day princess would wear on a day out to the town in my opinion. The glitter, the crop top and the ballerina skirt is perfect for a day out with the girls! 

Well, I hope you like my spring/summer looks! I'm so happy for the nice weather to finally come! Well I'm going to finish watching Brides Maids with my friends! Don't forget to tell me what your favorite summer looks are?!

Day 24 and 25 : Merry Cristmas!!!

Hey Dolls!!! Merry Christmas!!! (ps sorry for no post yesterday...I was super busy! Family was over from morning till nighttime.) at this moment I am blogging from my new iPad!! Love it sooooo much!! It's amazing! Like really where has this been all my life! Haha! Christmas was great! I got the Steve Madden boots, Marc Jacobs watch and more! I love the Christmas holiday season! It's always so calming! Well for me...for my nana, well just say she isn't the most calming person around haha! But never the less I'm having a nice time. Although I really want to go home and take a nap or watch Midnight in Pairs! I've been waiting for that to come out since it came out during summer! Can't wait to watch it! well that's really it. I just want to wish you Dolls a Merry Christmas and to say that 25 days of Style is finally over! Wasn't much what I wanted to be but that's ok! I still need to get a tripod to take pictures! I forgot about that! I guess Santa didn't remember it hahah! I'll have to remind him next time ;) well I'll talk to you dolls last then!

Hey Dolls! So sorry for this lame blog preview...I had work so I couldn't put my video up...now I have to do Stats...again..for homework... :( *tear!* I did go "Christmas" Shopping today! I went to Hollister to get some jeans and socks haha! Oh and yoga pants! More later on that...I really hope I don't have to work tomorrow because I really want to go shopping some more tomorrow! My Mom said I can get the Steve Madden boots I want instead of Uggs this year. I'm completely fine with that!! haha! I want this boots soooo badly!! Can't wait! XOXO!
