The Little Things In Life

         Hello Everyone! Wow. What a day! Today was Marathon Monday in Boston. A day where all the countries from all over the world come together and run a 40K (I believe?) race to the finish line. If you haven't found out already there were two explosion at the end of the finish line this afternoon. So while my friends and I were having a fun time in our campus quad listening to music with the other students that go to my college there was something tragic that happened in the city of Boston. I've been living in Ma for 18 years and nothing like this has ever happened before. Little things here and there but nothing like this. I can't even begin to tell you how scary this day has gone. Not knowing when things are about to happen is an element of surprise that's not wanted. I have personal friends that have family members, friends, and even a fellow pageant girl who ran the race this year who were effected in today's accent. It's also scary to think me and my friends where there right where the accent happened less than 24 hours ago and that could have happened to me.
         During this tragic time you really come to find out who's really there for you and who isn't. A time to realize even the littlest things can mean the most in life. I always think of the little things as the best things in life. Like someone noticing me that I like to little notes I find from friends in my notebooks so when I get to the page I see it. So I guess what I'm trying to get to is always count the little things in life. Like saying I Love You to loved ones, opening a door for someone, talking to someone who looks like they could use a friend and so much more. You never know, it could make their day better.

My Spring/Summer Fashion!

Hello Everyone! Well, April is here! and it couldn't have come faster. I feel like it was just yesterday that I came back from winter break and spring break! So crazy how fast time can go by. Makes you think twice about not saying hello to someone or really going for something you want to do. Never take life for granted!

And now for todays topic! Spring/Summer Fashion! In this case my spring/summer fashion because even though I love trends I don't always follow them. I like to skip to my own beat sometimes. During spring I love to wear maxi dresses and very flowy clothes. As you will see here in this post! I found all these pictures on tumblr or pinterest because I'm obsessed with both websites! Basically this is what I would wear if I could take things off the internet and put them into my closet!  

1. High waisted shorts are trending right now I do have to say! My friend and floormate/next door neighbor Gabby wears them all the time! She defiantly inspired me to get them! I do have a pair from Urban Outfitters and a pair from the Kendall and Kylie line from Pac Sun that I got the other week. Now I just need to find shorts! I saw this shirt and love when how it has cutouts! Style this outfit with round sunglasses and converse, your all set for spring into summer!!!

2. Here we go again with the high-waisted shorts! But this time it's styled very simply. Nothing better then a plain white shirt and a shoulder bag. The scarf was also a very nice touch to the look to bring in a print so the look isn't so plain. 

3. I can't tell you how much I love the styling of this look! The belt around the cape into the actual belt loops is maj! Mix the look with another flowy top and denim shorts and your set!

4. These two girls remind me of Kendall and Kylie Jenner! Who I have to say have amazing style! Very skater urban chic! I recently bought a hat from Rich Soil which is Lamar Odom's t-shirt company and Kylie Jenner and her friends just happen to wear them all the time! I had to do it...shopaholic problems and now I have $2.50 to my name on my debit card! A sad moment... 

5 and 6! Maxi dresses for dayz! I'm obsessed. Especially with the one on the left! Super cute! I'm defiantly going to try to make it over summer! The green maxi shirt is so spring! Tying the tank top for an extra added touch to the look is a nice way to change the look over the day!  

7. This look looks like something a modern day princess would wear on a day out to the town in my opinion. The glitter, the crop top and the ballerina skirt is perfect for a day out with the girls! 

Well, I hope you like my spring/summer looks! I'm so happy for the nice weather to finally come! Well I'm going to finish watching Brides Maids with my friends! Don't forget to tell me what your favorite summer looks are?!

Getting Organized...?

Hello There Everyone!

       This past week I have been very busy! I've been slacking off and not getting things done at a good time. But this week I told myself that I'd start getting organized and stop slacking off. Well...it's a work in progress. But I have been writing down what I need to do everyday! For example...I've been writing in the "Notes" section of my iPhone and jotting down my day before I go to sleep. Then when I wake up it's all there! Sometimes like the other day because it was nice outside I got sidetracked so I allow myself extra time to finish things. SIDETRACK - Jenn, Taylor, Cam and I went on a walk around campus and it was such a beautiful day! Then it started to rain and thunderstorm by the time we came back! So random! We just about saw every type of weather that day!

     Well...two days later after actually writing what I wrote above because I've been so busy!

     My school put on a fashion show! I was in it and had so much fun! I really miss my modeling days! The clothes were so cute especially the one's from BEBE! Disregard Jenn in the white dress she was in the second scene. haha! But nevertheless I had an awesome time and I can't wait till the next fashion show to come! That one I'm also going to be having some of my designs in it! So exciting!
      Right now Taylor and I are trying to finish our essays for english class on Oedipus Rex...welcome to the struggle life of the 2 am common room club! But it must get done and it will! Tomorrow's going to be a busy day! So hopefully I can get everything done as quick as possible! I need to sew a bathing suit and I have a department meeting at 6. I love being busy but sometimes it can get crazy!
       Oh! Can you believe I thought I ordered a pair of Nike sneakers last Monday but I just checked my history and they weren't on it! So I guess I have to order them again! Ugh...Lizz problems...Welcome to my life.

Summer Can't Come Any Faster...

Hello Everyone! Lizz here! Long time no talk I know!
      I promise I haven't forgotten about my blog! It's just been hard handling my blog, life, college, and everything else. On this dark and gloomy day I can only think about spring time if not summer time! Oh how I miss summer so much! Colored shorts, beaches, the sun, peach ice tea! Everything about summer I miss. I can't wait to get my summer clothes out and go shopping even more! haha! I'm trying to hunt down a Lilly Pulitzer dress! It's easier said then done!!! But Lilly's new Spring 2013 collection is coming out soon! Can't wait!
       I've also been thinking about summer goals. One big summer goal of mine is to run the lake near me without stopping! I think I failed to mention I'm not a runner at all! Soooo easily said then done! But I am determined to challenge myself this year! (Starting....now!) I also want to get back into the habit to eating healthier! Not just for me but for my family. I want to be living a more healthy life. Especially because of college, being a freshman and all can get a little rough at times. Thankfully my dorm has 3 floors and no elevator (the good, the bad, and the ugly...) so I get my daily exercise from walking up and down the stairs and walking around campus. No Freshman15 for me!
      Another goal of mine, like every year, is to blog more! I really want to make my blog/YouTube have a bigger audience! PS- Does anyone know if I can have two blog URL names? I kind of want my blog url be my name but the blog's name itself be GirlMeetsFashion so it's easier to find. My blog isn't just about fashion...it's about my life, beauty, and I want it to be a fun place where we can talk about that stuff! GirlMeetsFashion is so subjective but it will do for now! I will never be satisfied...will I! *dramatic sigh!*
       Well this is my goodbye for right now! I'll write to you later dolls!!!!
